Faisalabad University directs employee accused of theft to pray regularly as punishment

The university adopted a new policy to punish an employee accused of theft.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 6th February, 2019) The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has once again brought something unique for the varsity staff and students.

The university adopted a new policy to punish an employee accused of theft.

Media reports said that Agriculture University’s Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa has directed the university’s employee accused of theft to offer regular prayers for 40 days as punishment.

He said that people can be brought to the right path through prayers.

When the accused employee requested the Vice Chancellor to reinstate him to his position, Dr Zafar Iqbal accepted the apology and directed him to offer prayers regularly for 40 days.

He restored the university employee on the condition that he will offer prayers in congregation.

The VC said that he wants to introduce a culture of reform instead of punishment.

Earlier, the university had decided to celebrate Sisters Day on February 14 to promote eastern values and Islamic culture.

University of Agriculture Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa in his statement said that we are promoting our culture, values and Islamic traditions.
