ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Nov, 2016 ) : The Supreme Court on Wednesday disposed of petition seeking contempt of court proceedings against the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over non-implementation of court orders regarding Pakistan Steel Mills.
The court directed the petitioner to contact appropriate forum for redressal of his grievances. A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Amir Hani Muslim heard the case filed by Nadeem Sheikh.
During the course of proceedings, Petitioner Nadeem Sheikh appeared before the court and informed that NAB failed to conduct investigation in Pakistan Steel Mills according to court ruling.
He said working and functioning were stopped in steel mills and employees were un-employed.
On which Justice Azmat Saeed remarked that closure of steel mills was good as it was running in loss and earning nothing. The government had to pay employees salaries from the tax payers money. The court directed the petitioner to contact appropriate forum and disposed of the case.
