Breaking barriers: Differently abled persons open food stall in Islamabad

The food stall has been opened in F6 Markaz in Islamabad and has been doing great business despite its owners are not able to speak or hear.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 5th February, 2019) Breaking barriers, some differently abled persons have opened up a food stall in Islamabad.

The food stall has been opened in F6 Markaz in Islamabad and has been doing great business despite its owners are not able to speak or hear.

This was shared Adarsh Ayaz in his Facebook post who recalled how he came across a ‘food bike’ in Markaz that was very nicely done and cleanly managed.

“We parked in the Markaz by the sports court and this decent young man comes to our window. Politely waits to see if we wish to interact with him. I humbly decline. He goes away. As we move towards the shops, I see the food stall. It's a food-bike - very nicely done and cleanly managed,” he wrote.

To his pleasure, he found the same boy at the stall.

“I am pleased to find the same lad here. I try talking to him. He points to his ears and mouth, explaining to me that he's deaf and mute. I recall who I'm meeting. It's an honor, actually,” he said.

Adarsh continued, “I try telling him after I've confirmed that his partner in the stall, his friend, who is preparing the food as well, is also deaf and mute. I wanted to tell them they are among my heroes since the day I first heard about them. I realize they don't need me to tell them they are heroes.”

Although he wanted to ask their Names, he did not want to ruin the moment.

Not only were the men themselves amazing, the food was also great and fair priced.

It has been two years since they have been running the stall. The stall offers various snacks, including burgers, fries and desserts.

More power to these young men for breaking all the shackles and successfully running this food joint!
