KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Nov, 2016 ) : The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Wednesday ordered the jail authorities to release the president of Pak-Sarzameen Party Anis Qaimkhani and the leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rauf Siddiqi in a case registered for facilitating and treating alleged terrorists.
A day earlier, the Sindh High Court (SHC) had granted bail to the former petroleum minister, PSP president, MQM leader and Usman Moazzam of Pasban against a surety of Rs 50,000 each. However, the court restrained them from leaving the country.
The court had also ordered them to deposit their passports with the court. Judicial sources said both Anis Qaimkhani and Rauf Siddiqui furnished the sureties and deposited their passports through their lawyers. Therefore, the ATC-II judge issued their release orders, directing the jail superintendent to set them free if not required in any other case.
