SHC Restrains KMC From Sealing SSGC Headquarters

KARACHI,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Nov, 2016 ) : Sindh High Court (SHC) Wednesday restrained Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) from sealing the Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd (SSGC) headquarters, here.

The single bench of Justice Nadeem Akhtar ordered the KMC to submit its reply on the petition of SSGC by November 15.

Advocate of SSGC Asim Iqbal stated before the court that SLGO-2001 was no more valid through which KMC was allowed to receive municipal service charges.

He requested the court that SGLO-2013 did not permit KMC to receive those charges. The KMC official pleaded before the court that he was going to seal the SSGC headquarters on the basis of recovery notice that was later restrained by the court.
