CARACAS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th February, 2019) Venezuelan authorities are going to revise their relations with a number of European countries that have recognized the head of the opposition-led Venezuelan National Assembly, Juan Guaido, as the country's acting president, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry said Monday.

"The government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will comprehensively revise its bilateral relations with these countries starting now," the ministry said in a statement.

A diplomatic source in Brussels told Sputnik that Italy had blocked EU countries' joint statement recognizing Guaido.

Russia and China as well as several other countries have refused to support Guaido, backing Maduro as the country's legitimate president and demanding that other countries respect the principle of non-interference in Venezuela's internal affairs.
