Neha Dhupia has a perfect reply to critics of fat-shaming

Says I don’t owe anyone an explanation because fatshaming like this doesn’t bother me one bit

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 3rd February, 2019) Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia who recently had a baby daughter, slammed a fashion article for fat-shaming her.

The actress shared screenshots of an article published by a magazine called Fashion Central, which fat shamed her.

The article titled "Neha Dhupia Shocking Weight Gain Post Pregnancy" drew Neha’s ire as she came out to lament the article for such fat-shaming and said it does not bother her.

“I don’t owe anyone an explanation because fatshaming like this doesn’t bother me one bit,” she wrote.

The actress continued, “But I do want to address this as a larger problem because fatshaming needs to stop for EVERYONE not just celebs. As a new mom i want to be fit, healthy and energetic for my daughter. So I work out everyday, sometimes twice a day because for me...’Fitness’ is a priority and not ‘fitting into’ society’s standards regarding looks,” she said.

The Helicopter Eela star hoped that people are kinder to each other in the future while making such vapid and vile comments.

She concluded with a quote by Patton Oswalt that “Be Kind. It’s chaos out there.”
