HAVANA, Cuba, (Pakistan Point News - 29th Jan, 2019) Several hospitals in Cuba damaged by a hurricane that affected the Caribbean are to be restored under a new agreement.
Badr Abdullah Saeed Al Matroushi, UAE Ambassador to Cuba and UAE Representative to the Association of Caribbean States, and Dr. Jose Luis de Fabio, Acting Representative of the Pan-American Health Association and World Health Organisation, WHO, in Cuba, signed an agreement to support the restoration of the hospitals, as well as to support the efforts to combat diseases caused by insects in Cuba.
Dr. de Fabio thanked the UAE Government for its support while praising its regional and international humanitarian efforts.
The agreement is part of the UAE’s keenness to promote cooperation, under the framework of a rebuilding project following the hurricane.
