PESHAWAR, (Pakistan Point News – 2nd Nov, 2016) : A special court in Peshawar rejected bail application of Sharbat Bibi, the renowned National Geographic’s ‘Afghan Girl’ in the fake identity card case. The special judge, Immigration Farah Jamshed, had reserved the judgment on the bail petition of Sharbat Bibi. Sharbat Bibi became an international sensation when she was only 12 years old. Steve McCurry, Nat Geo’s photographer, captured the fierceness in her eyes in the Afghan refugee camp in 1984. After years of anonymity, she was again found by National Geographic in 2002.
