Doctors Boycott OPD Service Of Hospitals In Sindh

On joint call of Pakistan Medical Association Sindh Chapter and Young Doctors Association, the doctors boycotted the services at Outdoor Patients Department of the government hospitals on Monday in Sindh
The doctors at Liaquat University Hospital Jamshoro and Hyderabad branches staged protest demonstrations for acceptance of their demands and also threatened to boycott ward and emergency services of the hospitals if the government not accepted the charter.
They demanded enhancement in the salary equal to salaries of the doctors of Punjab province, announcement of time scale, promotion on merit as well as elimination of corrupt practices particularly illegal gratification on promotion and transfer of doctors.
Meanwhile, due to boycott of doctors at OPDs of government hospitals thousands of attendants of patients suffered inconvenience and the returned to homes without clinical examinations.
