UNITED NATIONS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th January, 2019) Newly appointed US Special Envoy for Venezuela Elliott Abrams told the UN Security Council on Saturday that Venezuela is a satellite country of Cuba and Russia.Abrams comment came in response to Venezuela's Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza's criticism of the United States and what he termed were Washington's satellites for interfering in Venezuelan affairs.
"In fact it was interesting that every single country that was attacked or criticized is a democracy," Abrams said. "It was just a serious of insults that reflect the fact that today there is a satellite present here and it is Venezuela, which has unfortunately become a satellite Cuba and Russia."
