UNITED NATIONS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th January, 2019) Cuba has directly escalated the situation in Venezuela, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told the UN Security Council on Saturday.Pompeo noted that the Cuban Interior Ministry even provided personal security to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
"Members of this body [Security Council] often use their microphones here to condemn foreign interference in internal affairs ... Cuba has directly made matters worse. And the United States and our partners are the true friends of the Venezuelan people," Pompeo said.
