WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd January, 2019) A US soldier lost his life as a consequence of small enemy fire, the NATO-led mission Resolute Support said in a release on Tuesday."One US service member was killed in Afghanistan today as a result of enemy small arms fire," the release said. "The incident is under investigation."
The name of the service member has been withheld until 24 hours after notifying next of kin in accordance with US Defense Department policy, the release added.
