MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd January, 2019) Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday that it was premature to speak on the initiative of introducing amendments to the Russian constitution.
On Monday, Russia lower house speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that the current constitution had certain shortcomings in relation to the balance between the power branches and suggested it expedient to extend powers of the Federal Assembly.
"You know that this is a new initiative. It is not concrete yet, so it is premature to voice any position now," Peskov said.
