Gold-winning Pakistan Junior Squash Given A Heroic Welcome On Return

Pakistan Junior Squash team received a heroic welcome when they returned home on early Tuesday following their astounding show in the 19th Asian Junior Squash Team Championship at Pattaya, Thailand
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2019 ) :Pakistan Junior Squash team received a heroic welcome when they returned home on early Tuesday following their astounding show in the 19th Asian Junior Squash Team Championship at Pattaya, Thailand.
After registering wins in all their pool matches, Pakistan team outclassed traditional rivals India 2-0 in the final to claim the gold medal.
The team arrived at International Airport Islamabad on late Monday where they were given a warm welcome by Director academies Pakistan Squash Federation, Air Commodore (retd) Aftab Sadiq Qureshi along with other PSF officials.
Later, a reception was held for the winning team at a local hotel.
Talking to media on the occasion Secretary PSF Tahir Sultan said that Pakistan players played with great passion to emerge victorious in the event. "This is a great achievement. I congratulate the whole nation on that. Our players produced superb performances throughout the event," he said.
He said that after winning all their pool matches, especially the one against India Pakistani players once again wanted to face them (India) in the final. "Our every player remained match of the event," he said.
Pakistan team was comprising of Abbas Zeb, Haris Qasim, Farhan Hashmiand Muhammad Hamza Khan.
