MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st January, 2019) US representatives on Monday held a new round of talks with the Taliban in Doha, Qatar after accepting the militants' agenda for the meeting, a Taliban spokesman said."Following American acceptance of the agenda of ending invasion of Afghanistan and preventing Afghanistan from being used against other countries in the future, talks with American representatives took place today in Doha," Zabiullah Mujahid tweeted.
He said negotiations would continue on Tuesday.
The announcement came a day after US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad returned from Pakistan where he held talks with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Mahmood Qureshi and other government officials who, he said, were resolved to push for Afghan peace.
