Call To Avoid Speculations On Sahiwal Incident

Notables in the city Monday urged people to stay calm and avoid speculations on Sahiwal tragedy, saying that people should wait for the law to take its course
Presidential Award winning poet and educationist Dr Aslam Ansari told APP that everybody was sad over the deaths in Sahiwal incident but expressed the hope that those involved would get punishment in the light of the report to be submitted by Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed by the government.
Aslam Ansari said that such unwanted happenings impact social behaviours negatively; however, urged the people to be patient and avoid accusations.
PTI MPA Haji Javed Akhtar Ansari expressed concerns over unjust criticism of the government under the garb of Sahiwal incident. He said that the opposition had resorted to political point scoring on the sad incident.
He said that information available with the government showed that the car driver Zeeshan was a terrorist and wanted to accomplish his nefarious designs.
He said he was sad over the deaths of three persons from a family and added that Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar had announced that all expenses of the childrens of the victim family would be borne by the government.
He urged people to avoid unnecessary accusations and statements.
He added that security apparatus in the country had been rendering sacrifices to save people from dangers.
Noted Seraiki intellectual Zahoor Ahmad Dhareja said that only impartial and independent investigations could unfold the facts and added he had high hopes that the government would help the family get justice.
Noted lawyer and former president of Multan district bar Waseem Mumtaz said that if there was a terrorist travelling with a family, preference should have been given to his arrest.
