PMS/PCS Officers Association Hails Regular Meetings Of Provincial Selection Board

President Provincial Management Services (PMS) and Provincial Commissioner Services (PCS) Officers Association, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Commissioner Malakand Division Abdul Ghafoor Baig has appreciated the regular meetings of the Provincial Selection Board (PSB) with Chief Secretary in the chair and termed it good omen for the resolution towards the problems of the provincial officers
The step, he said, will help remove hurdles in the promotion of all departments and particularly PMS/PCS Officers in the province.
In a press release issued from his office on Monday, the president of the association said the problems generated from the merger of erstwhile FATA and confrontation will not curtailed the difficulties of the tribesmen.
For the resolution of the problems of tribal districts, he stressed the need for giving priority to the elders, deputy commissioners and jirga system.
He said that immediate and sudden administrative changes and particularly the weakening of the offices of Deputy Commissioners will increase the problems of the people.
He said that any decision taken in haste will increase the difficulties of the people like the devolution plan of the Musharraf era.
The president PMS/PCS Officers Association further said that the enforcement of the police system in true sense will create difficulties and worst administrative problems and the police department will not prove beneficial for the people without passing through phases.
The PMS/PCS Officers Association will fully cooperate with the government in introducing of administrative reforms and resolution of the problems of the people and added that reforms introduced sans consultations will not prove in the benefit of anyone.
He also called for the repatriation of deputationist officers from different posts to post PCS, PMS and PAS officers on them to guarantee the implementation of the government policies with full concentration and public welfare-oriented projects could be completed on time.
He further called for the posting of PMS/PCS Officers on the posts lying vacant since long to bring improvement in the public service delivery system.
