Anti-polio Drive Begins In Adenzai

A three-day anti-polio drive began in the jurisdiction of three police stations of tehsil Adenzai of lower Dir District amid tight security on Monday

DIR LOWER, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jan, 2019 ) :A three-day anti-polio drive began in the jurisdiction of three police stations of tehsil Adenzai of lower Dir District amid tight security on Monday.

The District Health authorities in collaboration with WHO have made elaborate arrangements to ensure 100 percent target fixed for the current drive from Jan 21-23. The health officials have formed teams for administering oral polio drops to children up to the age of five-year.

As many as 84 teams have bee formed for the jurisdiction of Police Station Ouch with Assistant Sub Inspector Akbar Ali as In-charge who would be responsible for the security of the teams.

Similarly, 87 teams to administer oral polio drop in the jurisdiction of Police Station Chakdara headed by SI Gul Bacha Khan.

In the jurisdiction of Police Station Asbanr, as many as 42 teams led by security In-charge Nawaz Khan ASI would vaccinate children up to age of five during the three days drive.
