Efforts Underway To Eradicate Drug Menace; Says Ali Muhammad Khan Mahar

Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Ali Muhammad Khan Mahar Saturday said every possible effort was being made by the federation and provinces for the prevention of drugs and secure the future of young generation

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2019 ) :Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Ali Muhammad Khan Mahar Saturday said every possible effort was being made by the federation and provinces for the prevention of drugs and secure the future of young generation. It is time to think about the future of our young generation and collective efforts are needed to curb the menace of narcotics", the minister said.

He shared these views in a video conference with Provincial Chief Secretaries and Inspectors General of Police from all provinces.

The ceremony was also attended among others by officials of Islamabad Capital Territory administration, IG Islamabad and other senior officials of the Ministry of Narcotics.

The meeting was conducted in context of Supreme Court's suo motu action on drugs supply in educational institutions.

During the meeting, the participants gave suggestions to check trafficking of narcotics and it was mutually agreed to accelerate the efforts to root out this menace.
