Russia's United Shipbuilding Corporation to Supply Greece With Catamarans in 2020 - CEO

Russia's United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) expects to supply catamarans to Greek company Salamis Shipyards and Engineering Ltd (SSY) in 2020, USC President Alexey Rakhmanov said on Friday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 18th January, 2019) Russia's United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) expects to supply catamarans to Greek company Salamis Shipyards and Engineering Ltd (SSY) in 2020, USC President Alexey Rakhmanov said on Friday.

The USC president and a SSY representative signed a cooperation agreement during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in May 2018.

"We hope to deliver the Russian catamarans, which will operate on Greek lines to transport passengers, in 2020," Rakhmanov said.

Earlier in the day, Rakhmanov said that USC would take part in several Indian tenders for civilian vessel exports.

In December 2017, Rakhmanov said that the corporation's overall portfolio of orders for the next 15 years would total 1 trillion rubles (over $15 billion).

USC is Russia's largest shipbuilding corporation. It comprises 40 companies and organizations, including shipbuilding and ship repair yards, and design bureaus, and employs more than 80,000 people.
