WADA Say 'successfully Retrieved' Doping Data From Moscow Lab

Paris, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jan, 2019 ) :WADA said Thursday that they have "successfully retrieved" data from the Moscow laboratory at the heart of Russia's state-sponsored doping scandal which involved more than 1,000 athletes and 30 sports.

The world anti-doping agency had demanded the data be handed over to complete its investigation into the 2011-2015 scandal.

"A three-person World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) expert team has successfully retrieved the data from the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and the underlying analytical data generated by the former Moscow Laboratory in Russia," said a WADA statement.

"The data are crucial to build strong cases against cheats and exonerate other athletes suspected of having participated in widespread doping."
