Caravan Of Peace Reaches Nawabshah

A peace caravan aimed at spreading awareness regarding Down Syndrome Thursday reached Nawabshah town during its all Pakistan tour
Chairman Al-Jalal Institute for Down Syndrome Special Children Jehlum, Jalal Akbar Dar and his team held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Abrar Ahmed Jaffar and informed that team accompanied by Down Syndrome affected children started journey from Jehlum three months back.
He said that the institute has Education Block, Medical Block, Physiotherapy, Speech-therapy, hostel for children coming from other towns and cities and Vocational Workshop where children were provided training in different trades apart from routine education.
He said that such children were present in most of the countries around the world while his son Bilal was also affected by the syndrome. He said that for that reason he has turned his home into center and now was on tour of Pakistan to provide information about the disease to general public.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of Jalal Akbar and termed it a big task. He said that serving such children was service of humanity and assured his cooperation in this regard.Al-Jalal Foundation presented Flag of Peace to Abrar Ahmed Jaffar. The caravan later left for Sanghar.
