Motorway Police Organizes Road Safety Seminar In Urdu University

National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) on Thursday organized a road safety seminar at Federal Urdu University of Science, Arts and Technology ,Islamabad Campus on the directives of Deputy Inspector General Ashfaq Ahmed
NH&MP Inspector, Saqib Waheed, gave a lecture on the road safety .Throwing light on various aspects of road safety, he said wearing seat belt was crucial as it reduced up to 75 per cent chances of serious injury in road mishaps.
He said that full attention of the driver on the road was very vital and the cell phones were major distraction. He also threw light on the lane violation,over speeding and other causes of accidents.
After the lecture, a quiz competition on road safety was organized in which questions were asked from the students and prizes were given to winners of the quiz competition.
Speaking on the occasion, dr Aurangzeb, in-charge Urdu University campus, appreciated Motorway Police for organizing this seminar and said that creating awareness on road safety was responsibility of all members of the society.
He said every citizen should work seriously for solution of this problem. He assured that all students who attended the seminar would spread awareness about road safety in their respective areas. He added that Urdu University to continue to organize such seminars in future as well.
In the end prizes were distributed among the students who gave correct answersin the quiz competition.
