RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jan, 2019 ) :The Civil Line Police have failed to recover a female journalist's vehicle, stolen on January 9 from Jhanda Chowk, Rawalpindi.
The female journalist working for the official news agency, Nosheen Akbar's vehicle, Suzuki Mehran, LXW 9251 was lifted from the parking area located near her house.
After the registration of an First Information Report, the City Police Officer Rawalpindi, Abbass Ahsan has assured the victim for an early recovery of the vehicle and bring the culprits to the book.
However, police have failed to find any clue of the vehicle despite a lapse of over one week and tall claims and assurances.
The victim has sought Chief Minister Punjab and Inspector General Police's help for the recovery of her vehicle, which she could managed to buy after years' hard earned savings.
"I may not be able to purchase a vehicle again if it is not recovered. My daily travelling from office and vice versa would become an herculean task," Nosheen remarked.
In the meantime citizens have expressed concern over the growing incidents of street crimes and car lifting in the Garrison city, calling attention of the quarters concerned.
A citizen Ijza Hussain commenting over the crimes' situation said, " The criminals are free and people are at their mercy while police was acting only as silent spectator".
