JIT Still Probing Causes For Abduction, Death Of SP Tahir Dawar: NA Told

A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was still probing the reasons for abduction and death of late Superintendent of Police (SP) Tahir Dawar, State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan told the National Assembly here on Thursday
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jan, 2019 ) :A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was still probing the reasons for abduction and death of late Superintendent of Police (SP) Tahir Dawar, State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan told the National Assembly here on Thursday.
He said that the findings of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) as and when completed would be shared.
JIT was constituted by the office of the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory. JIT was minutely examining all available data to reach conclusion about the exact location of confinement of late SP Tahir Dawar.
The House was told that since investigation was going on, therefore, detail of any person detained or arrested could not be disclosed at this stage unless some concrete evidence had come to the fore.
The JIT was examining the probable routes to determine the condition in which late SP Tahir Dawar was transported to Afghanistan and level of torture on his body.
The minister said law enforcement agencies and government contributed in defeating terrorism.
70,000 Pakistanis lost their lives in the incidents of terrorism, but the nation remained steadfast and fought bravely, he added.
During the question hour, Ali Muhammad Khan replied to questions on behalf of Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi whose membership had been suspended by the Election Commission for not submitting his asset details.
