The Khyber Pakhtunkwa (KPK) government decided to enroll 0.5 million children in secondary schools and in future sanctioning of secondary schools would be linked with number of primary schools in the area so that students could easily get admission to continue their studies

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jan, 2019 ) :The Khyber Pakhtunkwa (KPK) government decided to enroll 0.5 million children in secondary schools and in future sanctioning of secondary schools would be linked with number of Primary schools in the area so that students could easily get admission to continue their studies.

This was decided by Adviser to Chief Minister on Education Ziaullah Bangash while chairing a meeting to review five-year plan of education department.

The meeting also decided that 5,000 vacant posts would be filled immediately and more posts would be created at primary level to overcome shortage of teachers. The meeting discussed launching of new projects, progress on on-going projects and selected concerned officials for timely completion of development projects.

Finance Minister Taimur Salim Jhagra, officials of elementary and secondary education attended the meeting.

The meeting assigned achieving of targets set in the five-year plan to the concerned officials.

Speaking on the occasion Ziaullha Bangash said that he would personally supervise progress report and would apprise the Prime Minister about achievements.

Finance Minister Taimur Salim Jhagra assured every possible help for the new and on-going projects on the behalf of finance department.

The meeting decided to hold sample based assessment for Class-II and Class-IV employees and school based assessment for Class-V employees while training programs would be arranged for newly inducted teachers.

Ziaullah said for bringing improvement in primary schools as many as 10,000 schools out of a total 25,000 would be made model under the five-year plan. A report in this connection would be prepared in two weeks, he added.
