Public Health Supply Chain System Launched:Dr.Hisham Inamullah Khan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Minister for Health, Dr.Hisham Inamullah Khan Wednesday launched District Public Health Supply Chain System Strengthening, an initiative to ensure availability of medicines for the men, women and children at the grass root level
The initiative was a joint effort of KP Government and USAID funded Global Health Supply Chain-Procurement and Supply Management project.
A ceremony attended among others by MNA Shaukat Ali, Secretary Health Dr. Farooq Jamil, Health Advisor Dr. Jawad Wasif, representatives of USAID and health officials of KP, said a release issued here.
The initiative would primarily focus addressing supply chain related deficiencies responsible for unavailability of drugs at different tiers of health care.
Initially, four districts would be piloted including Charsadda, Swat, Buner and Lakki Marwat.
Addressing the ceremony, Provincial Health Minister expressed confidence in expected outcomes of the initiative aimed integrated, transparent client friendly systems adding these reforms are critical to accomplish the ambitious health agenda of maximum coverage.
He also urged development partners and donors to work in liaison and help government to achieve targets of healthcare reforms agenda.
