Sindh University Organizes Educational Expo-2019

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jan, 2019 ) :The University of Sindh Jamshoro, in addition to its essential obligation of imparting academic knowledge has come to be an epicenter of literary, cultural, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that significantly contribute towards holistic development of youth; enabling them compete at national and international levels.

This was stated by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat at the inaugural ceremony of two-day "Grand Educational Expo 2019" held at Shaikh Ayaz auditorium of the faculty of Arts on Wednesday.

The expo is collaboratively organized by student societies of University Sindh, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology and Liaquat University of Medical Health Sciences.

Dr. Burfat said that elevating Sindh University to international stature was his passionate dream.

"QS Asia has ranked our university 400-450 category, he informed and added, this distinction has come to Sindh University for the first time in history.

The university has also become an ISO-certified campus, he added.

In addition, he said that the University of Sindh has won the tenth top slot out 115 public and private sector universities in Pakistan in winning projects under National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU) scheme of the Higher education Commission, Islamabad.

The two-daylong expo is featuring lecture sessions, workshops, debates, food festival, panel discussion, plays and range of other folk and cultural episodes.

Those present at the opening ceremony included Director IBA Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Shah, Director STAGS Dr. Sumera Umrani, Director General Grand Educational Expo Arshad Khaskheli, organizers of educational societies of three universities Aftab Memon and Ishtiaque Azam.
