Parliamentary Secretary for Federal Education and Professional Training Wajiha Akram on Wednesday informed the National Assembly that face detection biometric system has been installed in all federal educational institutions to ensure timely attendance of teachers
Responding to a question during Question Hour, she said Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has a mechanism of supervision of all institutions through field officers (AEOs), who are duty bound to pay visits to the educational institutions to evaluate their academic activities and administrative affairs.
Responding to another question, she said the proposal of curriculum revision was in the implementation phase by the Ministry through National Curriculum Council.
In this regard, she said the ministry has undertaken revision of National Curriculum 2006.
The purpose of revision is to address the gaps in existing curriculum and make it consistent with International standards, modern trends of assessment and teaching methodology.
The content of each subject from class pre-I to VIII is updated keeping in view the advances in science and technology and socio-cultural and environmental changes.
Responding to another question she said, the Supreme Court decision that schools charging more than Rs 5000 in fees, should reduce the fee by 20 percent.
