MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th January, 2019) Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas may soon visit the Syrian capital of Damascus, member of the Fatah Palestinian movement's Central Committee Azzam Ahmad said on Tuesday."The president's visit to Syria may take place at any time. Today I am in Damascus as part of the earlier announced visit. The president's visit is possible and I believe that it will take place soon," Azzam said, as quoted by the Sama news agency.
In December, Sudanese President Omar Bashir visited Syria, which became the first visit of a leader of an Arab state to Syria since 2011 when the civil war in the country erupted.
