Nine members committee formed to address fishing industry grievances

Ministry of Maritime Affairs (MoMA) has constituted a Committee of stake-holders to address grievances being faced by the Fishing Industry in the country

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jan, 2019 ) :Ministry of Maritime Affairs (MoMA) has constituted a Committee of stake-holders to address grievances being faced by the Fishing Industry in the country.

A 9-member committee led by Jameel Ahmed Khan (MNA), the Parliamentary Secretary, MoMA would come up with their recommendations to make proposals for removal of disturbance as well as to bring reforms in the fishing industry, said a notification issued here on Tuesday.

The notification also carries the name of members including , Director General, Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, Karachi, Director General, Ports and Shipping Wing/FDC Karachi, Mahmood Baqi Maulvi, Member of Advisory Council MOMA, Shoukat Hussain, Abdul Berr, Chairman Fishermen's Cooperative Society Ltd, Karachi, Habibullah Niazi, Chairman, Sindh Trawlers Owners Fishermen Association, Karachi, Capt.

Syed Ikhlaq Hussain Abidi, Chairman Pakistan Sea food Exporters Association, Karachi and Asif Iqbal Bhatti, President Native Islander and Fishermen's Association, Karachi.
