Only one person survived in the crash of the Boeing 707 cargo plane near Tehran out of the total 16 people on board of the aircraft, media reported Monday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th January, 2019) Only one person survived in the crash of the Boeing 707 cargo plane near Tehran out of the total 16 people on board of the aircraft, media reported Monday.

The plane, flying from Bishkek, was bound for the Payam international airport in Karaj, but one of the pilots reportedly started landing at the neighboring Fath airport by mistake and lost control of the aircraft that crashed into a residential area. Press tv reported earlier that pilots may have survived.

According to Fars news agency, only an engineer survived out of a total 16 people on board.

Bodies of seven people were found at the scene of the crash, the Iranian emergency department said.
