MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th January, 2019) Three militants were killed on Friday during a skirmish with traffic police in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, the Russian National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) reported.According to the report, a group of unidentified gunmen traveling in a VAZ 2107 car attacked traffic police officers around 6.00 pm Moscow time [15:00 GMT] on the Kizilyurt-Makhachkala section of the Kavkaz Federal highway.
"At the request of law enforcement officers to stop the car, lay down their arms and surrender to the authorities, the gunmen opened fire with assault rifles. As a result of the ensuing exchange of fire, the three militants were eliminated," the NAC said.
