MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th January, 2019) Russian space agency Roscosmos confirmed on Friday that it had received an official cancellation of NASA's invitation to Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Rogozin to come to Houston."The notification by NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine came in form of a letter addressed to Dmitry Dogozin," a Roscosmos spokesman told Sputnik.
The spokesman said that no alternative date for the visit had been set but negotiations on the matter would continue.
Rogozin, who is on the US sanctions list over Ukraine, was expected to visit the NASA headquarters in February, but the US space authority's chief said last week he had rescinded the invitation under pressure from US senators.
