Naya Pakistan? Punjab Governor has over 100 security personnel deployed for his protocol

At least 111 police officers are deployed for the security of Punjab Governor.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 8th January, 2019) The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had announced adopting of simplicity and austerity policy when it came to power.

Although many practical examples have been seen in this regard, some of the government representatives violate the government claims.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was recently criticized them for getting protocol but Punjab Governor Punjab Chaudhry has surpassed everyone.

According to media reports, at least 111 police officers are deployed for the security of Punjab Governor.

His personal residence has two while Governor House has 109 security personnel deployed.

This was revealed in a report submitted by the Interior Ministry in Punjab Assembly. Startling revelations regarding the security of VIP people in Punjab in the report.

On the other hand, four security guards have been deployed at Chief Minister Office while 17 security officials have been placed for the security of Lahore High Court chief justice.

Only one security guard is deployed at the personal residence of Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

Two police officers each have been deployed at the personal residences of Federal ministers Shafqat Mahmood and Mahmood Sultan.

Similarly, provincial Ministries, including Yasmin Rashid, Aslam Iqbal, Mehmood ur Rasheed and Murad Ras have two security guards each at their residences.

The revelation of over 100 security personnel deployed for Punjab governor’s security has invited criticism.

Critics say that the PTI had claimed to save costs and protect the public money, but seeing the security, protocol and expenditure of government officials, it seems that the claims are limited to the extent of political slogans only.
