Lahore City Receives Drizzle Coupled With Cold Wind

The provincial capital on Saturday received drizzle coupled with cold wind which turned the weather colder.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jan, 2019 ) :The provincial capital on Saturday received drizzle coupled with cold wind which turned the weather colder.

At some places, drizzle continued intermittently.

The maximum temperature in city was recorded as 11 degree celsius.

According to the met office, rain-thunderstorm occured at isolated places in Lahore and Gujranwala divisions. More snowfall over the mountains is also expected in Murree, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the period.

However, very cold and dry weather is expected in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujranwala divisions, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Foggy conditions are expected in South Punjab and Central Punjab during morning hours.

According to synoptic situation, a westerly wave is still affecting upper parts of the country and likely to move northeastward during next 12-18 hours.

Rainfall (mm) during Last 24 hours: Punjab: Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 19, Chaklala 08), Murree 23, Narowal 10, Sialkot (AP 09, City 06), Mangla 06, Hafizabad 05, Gujranwala, Gujrat, M.B.Din 03, Lahore (City 02, AP 01), Jhelum 01, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Kasur, Chakwal Trace.

Experts have said the current weather condition would persist during the next few days. Farmers have been advised to take adoptive measures to safe their standing crops from negative effects of weathers conditions.
