Russian Prime Minister Signs Decree on Financial Aid to Magnitogorsk Tragedy Victims

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Saturday signed a decree authorizing financial assistance to families affected by this week's house collapse in the city of Magnitogorsk.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th January, 2019) Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Saturday signed a decree authorizing financial assistance to families affected by this week's house collapse in the city of Magnitogorsk.

"I signed a decree on payments and assistance to the families of those killed and injured in the collapse of an apartment building in Magnitogorsk. The government has allocated 65mln rubles [$967,500] in reserve funding to that end," he tweeted.

A natural gas blast collapsed a section of a 10-storey building in the southern Urals city on New Year's Eve, killing at least 39 people and leaving hundreds homeless. Four injured have been discharged from intensive care and are in stable condition.
