Benazir's Bold Stance Against Terrorism Claims Her Life; Asfandyar Wali Khan Eulogizes Her Political Struggle

Awami National Party (ANP) central President Asfandyar Wali Khan Thursday claimed Benazir Bhutto was assassinated due to her bold stance against terrorism and said political leadership had paid huge price of peace in Pakistan.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Dec, 2018 ) :Awami National Party (ANP) central President Asfandyar Wali Khan Thursday claimed Benazir Bhutto was assassinated due to her bold stance against terrorism and said political leadership had paid huge price of peace in Pakistan.

In his statement in connection with Benazir Bhutto's 11th death anniversary here, he said that peaceful world acknowledges the sacrifice of Benazir Bhutto. He observed that Benazir Bhutto, Bashir Ahmed Bilour and several other political leaders were killed only because they always expressed resolve to take the war on terror to its logical ends.

Paying rich tribute to Benazir Bhutto, Bashir Ahmed Bilour and other martyrs of war on terror, Asfandyar said that the war on terror took several precious lives including children, women and especially Pakhtuns.

He said that still the menace of terrorism was posing threat to our coming generation and would continue haunting until peace in Afghanistan was restored. He warned that "if peace efforts in Afghanistan fail it will affect the whole region, especially Pakistan." ANP leader emphasized on Pakistan, Russia and China toplay constructive role in achieving peace in Afghanistan, as it also involvespeace and stability in Pakistan.
