SC issues notice to Asif Zardari in money laundering case

CJP says we can’t forgive those who looted public money.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 24th December, 2018) The Supreme Court has issued notices to former president Asif Ali Zardari in the fake bank accounts case.

Issuing notice to the PPP co-chairman, the court ordered him to submit a reply on December 31.

According to details, a hearing on the case pertaining to Rs 35 billion money laundering through fake bank accounts was held in the Supreme Court Lahore Registry on Monday.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar said that it is a matter of billions, we won’t let it go.

He said that we can’t forgive those who looted public money.

CJP Nisar in his remarks said that it seems the pride of Omni Group owners did not subside.

They looted billions of public money but don’t have any guilt.

The CJP while ordering to install a projector in courtroom said that the JIT’s summary will be shown on projector.
