Copa Libertadores champion River Plate earned today its first Third Place spot in the FIFA Club World Cup after crushing Asian Champions Kashima Antlers 4-0.

The Argentinians bounced back from their FIFA Club World Cup semi-final disappointment at the hands of the host team Al Ain to record a smooth-sailing victory over their Japanese peers in the match for third place at the Zayed sports City Stadium.
