MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd December, 2018) US President Donald Trump said Saturday that "local countries," including Turkey, should be able to easily deal with remaining members of the Islamic State terrorist group (banned in Russia) in Syria after the withdrawal of the US forces.On Wednesday, Trump said that the US forces would pull out of Syria since the IS had been defeated there.
"On Syria, we were originally going to be there for three months, and that was seven years ago - we never left. When I became President, ISIS was going wild. Now ISIS is largely defeated and other local countries, including Turkey, should be able to easily take care of whatever remains. We're coming home!" Trump said on Twitter.
