KP Govt To Establish Nursing College, Medical Institute In Southern Districts

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is taking tangible measures for uplift of the southern districts of the province, deciding to establish nursing college and medical institute in area which has long been awaiting development-oriented measures.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Dec, 2018 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is taking tangible measures for uplift of the southern districts of the province, deciding to establish nursing college and medical institute in area which has long been awaiting development-oriented measures.
The health department signed an agreement with Khyber Medical College (KMC) and the document was signed by Provincial Minister Dr Hisham, Secretary Health Dr Farooq Jamil and Vice Chancellor Khyber Medical University (KMU) to this effect, official sources said.
Under the agreement, the provincial government would arrange building for the nursing college and medical institute while KMC would recruit staff and prepare syllabus.
The health minister said the government was giving priority to development of southern districts and the local people would also be given quota in these initiatives, the sources quoted.
The minister informed that development-oriented initiatives would go a long way in bringing the southern part at a par with development areas of the province, having all basic amenities.
The health minister hoped that development steps would remove sense of deprivation among youth of the area.
