Belarus, Georgia To Strengthen Inter-parliamentary Ties

Belarus and Georgia have agreed to expand inter parliamentary cooperation, BelTA reported on Tuesday.
MINSK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Dec, 2018 ) :Belarus and Georgia have agreed to expand inter parliamentary cooperation, BelTA reported on Tuesday.
Deputy Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Marianna Shchetkina held meetings with Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Parliament George Volski and Chairman of the Budget And Finance Committee, Chief of the Friendship Group with the Parliament of the Republic of Belarus Irakli Kovzanadze.
The parties discussed a broad range of matters related to bilateral cooperation. They reviewed the implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the Belarusian president to Georgia in March 2018.
Top on the agenda was parliamentary cooperation both in the bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations. ?The parliaments of Belarus and Georgia voiced readiness to provide mutual support for initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral contacts between the countries, first of all, in trade and economy, the press service noted.
As National Coordinator for SDGs, Marianna Shchetkina informed the Georgian MPs about the way Belarus is going to incorporate the Sustainable Development Goals into the Belarusian legislation.
