Price Control Committee Meets To Review Market Prices

ASTORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Dec, 2018 ) :District magistrate here on Tuesday paid surprise visit to different markets to check the prices of daily commodities and hygiene condition.

On the occasion, he imposed fine on several shopkeepers for overcharging customers and warned many others for not maintaining hygiene standards at their business places.

He asked the shopkeepers to display price lists at conspicuous places of their shops and abide by the prescribed rates.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Astore, Wali khan chaired a meeting of the district price control committee to review prices of household items in the city's markets here.

He asked members of price control committee to implement the prescribed prices of items in all the markets and ensure that consumers were charged the same rates.

The district administration was serving the people of Astore in all manners and the shopkeepers, wholesalers had been directed to display price list prominently at their shops and sell items at government's prescribed rates, he told media persons.

"If any shopkeeperfound selling the products more than the price given by price controlcommittee, strict action will be taken against him," the DC.
