Power Supply In Three Villages Disconnected Over Theft

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Dec, 2018 ) ::A task force of the Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) disconnected power supply to three villages during a joint operation against power thieves in Rajanpur and Bahawalpur, here on Sunday.
According to MEPCO sources, a Taunsa sub-division task force team, under the supervision of XEN Rajesh Kumar, along with a police team, launched an operation in Rajanpur and suburban areas.
The teams identified power pilferage in Basti Kot Qaisarani and Basti Kohar. The teams disconnected power supply and took wires and meters into custody.
Similarly, MEPCO Bahawalpur sub-division teams conducted an operation in Satellite Town and detected power pilferage at four domestic connections through direct cables.
MEPCO sources said that fine had been imposed on the pilferers while applications had been given to the police stations concerned for registration of cases against them.
