Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 14th December, 2018) Singer and activist Shehzad Roy has acknowledged that the activism of Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai inspires him every day.
Mentioning a quote from the book of Malala’s father ‘Let Her Fly’ that Malala makes her father proud every single day, Shehzad Roy said that this father-daughter duo makes Pakistanis proud every day while Malala’s activism inspires him every day.
“As your father mentioned in his thought provoking book, #letherfly “Malala makes me proud ever single day”. You both make Pakistanis proud every day and your activism inspires me everyday,” he wrote.
Shehzad Roy said this in reply to a tweet by Malala where she urged people to read about her friend Shehzad Roy’s activism for quality education in Pakistan.
The 41-year-old singer is the president and founder of Zindagi Trust, an NGO that strives to improve the quality of education available to the average Pakistani. He has also received Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, Sitara-i-Esaar and Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his services.
Meanwhile, Malala is known for her activism for girls' education and has also been awarded with a Nobel prize for her efforts to promote education in the Swat valley and surving a militant attack in this pursuit.
