11 Killed, 891 Injured In Accidents

Eleven people were killed while 891 sustained injuries in different accidents across the province during the last 24 hours.
The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) responded to 825 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all districts of Punjab.
A data showed that 395 drivers, 19 underage drivers, 121 pedestrians and 386 passengers were among the victims of the accidents. The statistics show that 209 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 213 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 76 in Faisalabad with 89 victims and Multan at third with 66 RTCs and 74 victims.
According to the data, 673 motorcycles, 116 rickshaws, 77 cars, 46 vans, 10 passenger buses, 27 trucks and 98 other vehicles besides slow-moving carts were involved in the accidents.
