Japanese Firm Shows Interest In Pakistan's LNG Sector

A Japanese company, working in 501 sectors worldwide, Thursday showed keen interest to work in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) sector of Pakistan.
A delegation of NYK firm, led by its LNG business Head , expressed the desire during a meeting with Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Ghulam Sarwar Khan here.
The minister appreciated the keenness showed by the delegation and apprised it about Pakistan's energy needs and investment opportunities there.
The delegation briefed the minister about the company's operations and achievements in different countries, besides handling of 90 per LNG terminals in Japan.
The company can establish LNG storage facilities in Pakistan and play a key role in ending gas supply's imbalance created especially in peak winter season, a press release said.
