Tourism Police To Be Perform In Summer: Atif Khan

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Tourism and Sports, Atif Khan on Thursday said new tourism police would start performing before summer season.
In a statement, he said that cabinet has given approval of tourism police to give protection and solve the problems at tourists' resorts.
He said tourism police would be raised on modern lines like in European countries to boost domestic and foreign tourism in the country.
The Minister said establishment of Tourism Authority was one of best achievement in 100-day performance, adding the authority would be fully autonomous with representation of all stakeholders to make decisions to promote tourism.
He stressed the need of integrated approach towards tourism.
The PC-1 had been finalized for 10 new tourists destination while under five years plan tourism would be extended to other areas.
Under the master plan, hotels, parking areas, green beltsand solid waste disposal system would be setup to facilitate tourists, he added.
He said that provincial government would give special incentive to attract over-seas Pakistanis for boosting tourism industry and generating revenue.
